What is the Charles MacPherson Placement Difference?

While an interview can give you a sense of an applicant’s personality, it cannot tell you if the person truly knows how to iron a shirt or set a dinner table. In most cases, you are at the mercy of an applicant’s word.

Have you ever employed a housekeeper who told you in the interview that she is excellent with laundry only to find out a month afterwards that what she was particularly talented at was shrinking your favorite garments?

The trained interviewers at Charles MacPherson Placement perform their interviews with a difference. We actually test the housekeeper’s claim to excellence by having them demonstrate their skills.  We believe that an applicant’s word is good, and honesty is certainly a very valuable commodity, but in an interview an applicant’s word should never be enough.

Our trained interviewers have access to the Charles MacPherson Academy’s training laboratory so that an applicant’s skill level can be certified. At the Academy, interviewers use all the tools and products of a fine home, including Miele® washers, dryers, rotary irons and vacuum cleaners, to evaluate each applicant BEFORE they are presented to you. We do not waste our clients’ time.

A 5-point system is used to grade the applicants so that their skill level is quantified. The results are then shared with our clients so that they are kept fully informed.
